September 12, 2020 – Annual Meeting of AtMLA
The annual meeting of the Atlantic Chapter of the Music Library Association will be held on October 9, Eastern time, on the Zoom platform. A link to that meeting will be sent to those who pre-register. Tentatively planned is an opening meet-and-greet, our annual business meeting, a series of discussion groups (in breakout rooms), and a social hour (BYO cocktails). An e-mail announcing how to pre-register for the conference will be sent out in the next few weeks, so that we can send information on logging into the meeting. Questions about the meeting can be sent to atmla.board@gmail.com. See the Meetings page for more information.
Best,
Thom Pease, Winston Barham, and Beth Royall
September 4, 2020 – New Music Research Librarian at UVA!
AtMLA is pleased to welcome Amy Hunsaker to UVA and to our chapter! Amy began last month as our new Music and Performing Arts Librarian. Amy comes to us from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she worked most recently as the Fine & Performing Arts Librarian, and before that as the Digital Initiatives Librarian. Prior to her time in Reno, Amy held several library positions at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Amy has master’s and doctoral degrees in Music from UNLV, and an MLS from the University of North Texas.
