Fall 2022 Meeting Information

We’re pleased to welcome you back to a hybrid meeting of the Atlantic Chapter of the Music Library Association held at the Charles Library at Temple University and virtually on Zoom, September 30th and October 1st.

REGISTER: Register on Eventbrite.

PROGRAM: See the program and schedule of papers here.

LODGING: The hotel is the Conwell Inn, which is on campus right next to Charles Library. Conference attendees can get a single or double room for $172/night from Thursday or Friday through Saturday. They should book directly through the hotel and mention that they are attending the AtMLA conference for the special rate. Limited parking is available for $20/night.

TRANSPORTATION: For transportation to Temple from other parts of Philadelphia, there is a Septa subway stop (Broad Street Line) at the corner of Broad and Cecil B. Moore ave., very close to the library. See this guide to Septa .

Driving in Philadelphia may prove frustrating, and Septa includes subways, buses, and regional rail that goes out to the airport and other farther-flung locales.

ACCESSING THE CHARLES LIBRARY: The Charles Library is open to the public. Attendees must show photo ID and sign in whenever they enter the building. Entrance is located on the 13th Street side of the building. This is the opposite side of the building from the Conwell Inn.

FOOD: Temple has many food trucks during the week, an option for lunch on Friday before the conference begins.

TRAVEL GRANT:The Executive Committee of the Atlantic Chapter of the Music Library Association (ATMLA) is pleased to invite applications for a travel grant to assist with travel and lodging expenses to the 2022 ATMLA chapter meeting to be held in Philadelphia, PA at Temple University on September 30 – October 1. The grant award amount is up to $500. Application deadline is September 16 (next Friday). Apply at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ID4FP82LhjtnM5THTSS4xIFGzPUEY26Py6Q35aWQw2A/edit

To make this award more equitable, we are trying out a change from the reimbursement process previously used. Instead, our Treasurer will work with the awardee directly to book travel/lodging in order to minimize the use of personal funds for prepayment. (Thank you Morgan!)
